Description

The Certified Older Adult Peer Specialist Training is a program that prepares Certified Peer Specialists and Recovery Coaches, age 50 and older, to work with older adults facing behavioral health challenges. The training covers topics such as the aging process, suicide prevention, wellness, substance use, dementia, physical illness, mental health, aging in place, and community resources, with a focus on how behavioral health and physical health conditions intersect as people age.
