Emma is a Biomedical Engineering PhD student working to bridge the gender health gap by creating technologies to improve women's health. Her current research focuses on the pressing needs and challenges within maternal health and how to leverage human-centered design to improve patient clinical outcomes. Dylan, Emma, Hannah, Shirin, Sid, Songyun, Vafa, Liz and Empower Lab collaborators attended the 2024 ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) CHI conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems in Honolulu, at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center on the island of Oʻahu. This is the premier international conference of Human-Computer Interaction.
