Healthcare sustainability

Description

The healthcare sector is a significant contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, with radiology-intensive oncology services accounting for a substantial and growing share due to high energy demand, resource-intensive equipment, and medical-waste generation. This project employs lifecycle assessment (LCA) and other computational techniques to examine the environmental impacts of cancer screening and diagnostic care workflows and to explore strategies for reducing these impacts while maintaining clinical validity.
